Unetaneh Tokef – Who by Fire? The power of one song to change a country.

In light of the Yom Kippur War, deep disturbing questions penetrated the Israeli psyche; and Kibbutz Beit Hashita became the site from which a reflective existential journey developed. Being that the words of the song composed on the kibbutz are taken from the High Holiday Liturgy, this session is very timely for the weeks leading up to Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. This session is part-tour of the kibbutz and the area around it in the Jezreel Valley and part-lecture - all with visuals.
